Have you considered an internship at an impact investment firm? Access Ventures is an impact investment group that deploys holistic investments to see communities flourish. We work hard to build a more inclusive economy and to expand our efforts we are excited to create an opportunity for others to learn and work alongside our team through our internship program.

An internship in the summer, during the school year, or after graduating can be one of the most rewarding experiences as you determine your future, gain experience, and build a resume. We have formalized our internship process into three cohorts throughout the year to provide a great experience and effective internship.

Our internship program brings on numerous interns throughout the year from a variety of academic backgrounds. Internship requirements vary among roles, so please be sure to read the description carefully before applying. Available Internship

Intern, Programs: As a program intern, you will help on a variety of projects and will gain great experience across the community and our network of partners. From access to capital to affordable housing to building the capacity of the social sector to creative arts; you will gain experience in one or more of our areas of focus.

Intern, Investments: As an investment intern, you will support our direct investment process and portfolio companies. The position will provide exposure to various investment styles as well as the daily operations of a start-up enterprise. We are looking for someone that enjoys research and is skilled at written communication. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, self-starter, and fun team member.

Intern, Creative: As a creative intern, you will learn our creative approach to communication, design, and marketing to help cultivate the Access Ventures brand and grow our community. Ideal candidates are doers and makers more so than thinkers and strategists. Candidates for the creative internship are (or claim to be): Storytellers, Graphic Designers, Writers, Photographers, Social Media Experts, Videographers. Candidates should live and breathe the present media trends but aren’t afraid to take a risk on what might be next.

Compensation

We have both paid and unpaid opportunities. Our paid opportunities are limited. For unpaid internships, we will gladly work with your institution to pursue academic credit for your experience.

Requirements

You’re Flexible, A Quick Responder: The problem we’re trying to solve as an organization is dynamic and each day brings fresh and exciting challenges. You like special projects and learning new things. You can react quickly and efficiently when called upon to change or pivot.

You’re Independent And Self-Motivated: You can handle a wide variety of tasks without constant supervision. You relish the chance to own your projects you’re confident and capable.

You’re Available 15hrs A Week: We’ll need you for 15 hours a week and in the office at least two days a week. Everyone goes through cohort orientation (1-2 days at the beginning of the cohort) and everyone will get a personalized intern development/work plan.
