A Community Effort

Our cities and communities are filled with broken and dilapidated homes. And oftentimes, people are forced to live in these poor conditions because of unfortunate life circumstances. Our desire is to restore these homes so that we can provide decent and affordable housing back to people in the community.

Restoring and beautifying the neighborhood is a community effort. If we want to make a difference in our city then let’s make a difference together! We invite everyone to participate in helping restore and rebuild houses in the community since working together fosters new lasting relationships.

Once a month on a Saturday, we host a work day for individuals, groups, and organizations to participate in restoring the neighborhood. Participating in the work day is an outward expression of an inward reality that all people matter.

At the work days we provide a list of work around the Shelby Park neighborhood in Louisville. This month, we had over 60 people help perform demolition work in a dilapidated home. These pictures are a glimpse into our works days and the homes being restored.

Access Ventures responds to these complex community problems with holistic solutions by partnering with organizations, community leaders, and people to change the way we tackle the most pressing problems around us. We believe all people should be valued and honored. And we are willing to step into a challenging situation, wrestle with the complexities of the problem, and create alternative solutions that challenge the norm, in order to help people flourish in our city.
